26 actions your agents can run in Display & Video 360

  • Fetching Display & Video 360 advertiser

Settings of the Display & Video 360 advertiser selected in the integration: name, id, partner id, status, currency (every amount the DV360 tools show or take is in it), time zone (every date is in it), website domain, EU political ads declaration, default business name, ad server setup (Campaign Manager 360 hybrid or third-party only), creative settings, and Mediaocean Prisma; plus resource-limit usage (campaigns, insertion orders, line items, channels, negative keyword lists, targeting options against their DV360 limits) and whether reporting is permitted. Start here to learn the currency and time zone.

  • Checking Display & Video 360 delivery

Why active Display & Video 360 line items of the selected advertiser are not (or not fully) delivering: DV360's line item warnings (no valid creative, invalid flight, all exchanges excluded, no active inventory source, paused or expired insertion order, flight not started or ended), paused, draft, or archived parent insertion orders and campaigns, active insertion orders whose budget segments have ended or do not cover today, active insertion orders without an active line item, assigned creatives that were rejected or are still in review (with the exchanges that rejected them), and YouTube / Demand Gen ads that are disapproved or limited by ad policy. Each issue has a severity (blocking, warning, info) and an explanation. Start here when someone asks why a campaign is not spending; it does not include performance numbers.

  • Running DV360 report

Performance report for the selected Display & Video 360 advertiser: impressions, clicks, CTR, revenue (spend), media cost, conversions, viewability, and video quartiles; YouTube views, view rate, CPV, and earned actions (report_type youtube); or unique reach and frequency (report_type reach). Break down by campaign, insertion order, line item, creative, day, week, month, device, country, region, exchange, deal, site or app, age, gender, audience, Floodlight activity, and more; filter by campaign, insertion order, line item, or creative ids. Defaults to the last 30 days per campaign. Dates are YYYY-MM-DD in the advertiser time zone; money is a decimal string in the advertiser currency. DV360 generates reports asynchronously, which can take minutes: the tool waits about two minutes, and if the report is not ready it returns status running with a report_handle. Then call CT_DV360_GET_REPORT_RESULT with that handle after retry_after_seconds instead of running the report again. Reports count against a shared daily quota, so combine questions into one report where possible.

  • Fetching DV360 report result

Result of a DV360 report that CT_DV360_RUN_REPORT returned with status running: pass its report_handle. Waits up to about a minute; returns the same rows, totals, and notes as CT_DV360_RUN_REPORT once the report is done, or status running with the handle again (call once more after retry_after_seconds). Only accepts handles of the selected advertiser.

  • Listing Display & Video 360 campaigns

Campaigns of the selected Display & Video 360 advertiser with status, goal type and performance goal, planned flight dates and planned spend, frequency cap, and number of campaign budgets. Money is in the advertiser currency (named in the result). Filter by status (archived campaigns only when ENTITY_STATUS_ARCHIVED is listed), ids, last change date, or a name fragment (matched locally over a few pages, because DV360 only filters exact names); page with next_page_token. Insertion orders hold the real budgets: use List insertion orders with campaign_ids for them.

  • Listing Display & Video 360 insertion orders

Insertion orders of the selected Display & Video 360 advertiser with campaign id, status, budget unit and automation, every budget segment (amount, start and end date), pacing (period, type, daily maximum), goal (KPI type and target), bid strategy, optimization objective, and frequency cap. Amounts are decimals in the advertiser currency; dates are YYYY-MM-DD in the advertiser time zone. Filter by status (archived only when ENTITY_STATUS_ARCHIVED is listed), campaign, last change date, or a name fragment (matched locally over a few pages, because DV360 only filters exact names).

  • Listing Display & Video 360 line items

Line items of the selected Display & Video 360 advertiser with type (display, video, audio, YouTube & Partners, Demand Gen, …), status, campaign and insertion order ids, flight (inherited or custom dates), budget (allocation type, maximum amount), pacing, bid strategy (fixed bid amount or automated goal), frequency cap, number of assigned creatives, and DV360's warning messages (for example NO_VALID_CREATIVE, EXPIRED, PARENT_INSERTION_ORDER_PAUSED). Amounts are decimals in the advertiser currency. Filter by status (archived only when ENTITY_STATUS_ARCHIVED is listed), campaign, insertion order, ids, type, last change date, or a name fragment (matched locally over a few pages, because DV360 only filters exact names). YouTube & Partners line items are read-only through the API.

  • Fetching Display & Video 360 settings

Every setting of one campaign, insertion order, or line item of the selected Display & Video 360 advertiser: status, flight and budget (campaign budgets, insertion order budget segments, line item maximum), pacing, bid strategy, goal/KPI, frequency cap, partner revenue model and partner costs, and for line items the assigned creative ids, conversion counting (Floodlight activities), optimized targeting, EU political ads declaration, warning messages, and YouTube & Partners or Demand Gen settings. Insertion orders and line items also show their parent campaign (and insertion order) with name and status. Amounts are decimals in the advertiser currency; dates are YYYY-MM-DD in the advertiser time zone. Use it before changing an item; use Get targeting for its targeting.

  • Listing Display & Video 360 ad groups

Ad groups of YouTube & Partners and Demand Gen line items of the selected Display & Video 360 advertiser, with line item id, format (in-stream, bumper, responsive, Demand Gen, …), status, bid strategy, optimized targeting, and product feed, and (by default) their ads with format, headlines, final and display URL, YouTube video ids, and policy approval with the policy topics behind a disapproval or limitation. Filter by line item, ids, format, status, or a name fragment (matched locally over a few pages, because DV360 only filters exact names). Other line item types have no ad groups. YouTube & Partners ad groups and ads are read-only through the API; only Demand Gen ones can change.

  • Listing Display & Video 360 creatives

Creatives of the selected Display & Video 360 advertiser with type, status, hosting source, size, duration, review outcome (approval status, creative and landing page review, content and policy review, exchanges that rejected it), and the line items it is assigned to. APPROVAL_STATUS_REJECTED_NOT_SERVABLE and APPROVAL_STATUS_PENDING_NOT_SERVABLE creatives cannot serve. Filter by ids, assigned line items, type, approval status, one status, size, last change date (creative reviews count as changes), or a name fragment (matched locally over a few pages, because DV360 only filters exact names).

  • Reading Display & Video 360 targeting

Targeting assigned in the selected Display & Video 360 advertiser, grouped per item and targeting type: geography, languages, audiences (audience groups with included and excluded lists), channels, sites and apps, keywords and negative keyword lists, viewability, device, environment, day and time, brand safety (sensitive categories, content labels, third-party verifiers), inventory sources and exchanges, YouTube channels and videos, and more. Pass line_item_ids for line items, ad_group_ids for YouTube / Demand Gen ad groups, or neither for the advertiser-level brand-safety targeting (channels, keywords, sensitive categories, content labels, OMID) that line items inherit. Each option shows id (the targetingOptionId, or the channel, list, or inventory source id) and name of what is targeted, negative for exclusions, and DV360's other detail fields; inherited options carry an inheritance field; count is the total per type, of which at most 100 options are listed. Campaigns and insertion orders have no targeting of their own in DV360.

  • Searching Display & Video 360 targeting options

Finds the targeting option ids Display & Video 360 targeting needs. Searches places (GEO_REGION by name prefix, with the region kind), points of interest (POI by name, address, or coordinates), and business chains (BUSINESS_CHAIN by chain name and region), and lists the fixed option sets of other types: languages, device types, browsers, operating systems, device makes and models, carriers and ISPs, environments, viewability levels, content categories, app categories, age ranges, genders, parental status, household income, video player sizes, on-screen and content positions, rewarded content, authorized seller status, exchanges and sub-exchanges, OMID, sensitive categories, and digital content labels. Listed types can be narrowed locally with name_contains or looked up by id. Each option returns id (the targetingOptionId), name, and DV360's detail fields.
