Save and publish a strategy model
Edit a framework, save a new draft version, then publish it for chat and mentions.

Switch to Edit
Open Dunford from Models. A model with a saved version starts in Display. Choose Edit (pencil) to show the form. Save stays off until you change a field. The Draft / Published control is the latest versionu2019s status, not a separate u201cpublish lateru201d queue.
Change a field and save
Edit a field u2014 for Dunford, the Statement or a step Title is enough. Choose Save. Growf writes a new version as Draft (v3 if two versions already exist). It does not overwrite the old snapshot. Version saved appears briefly. Unsaved edits block publish and unpublish; save first.
Publish the latest draft
When the latest version is Draft and you have no unsaved edits, open the status control and choose Published. Growf marks that version live and shows Strategy published. Chat preview and @mentions of strategy models use published versions. Choose Draft in the same control to unpublish the latest version. Publish does not create a version u2014 only Save (or an applied assistant update) does.
FAQ
Why is Draft / Published grey?+
You have unsaved edits, you lack strategy update, or the latest version is already in that state. Save first. Publish is only available on a clean Draft. Unpublish is only available on a clean Published version.
Does Save also publish?+
No. Save always creates a new Draft version. Publish only flips the latest version to Published. Unpublish flips it back to Draft. Older versions stay as they were.
What changes when I publish?+
The list badge becomes Published. Strategy mode preview can open this model. Chat @mentions of strategy models only list published versions. People with strategy read can still open drafts on the model page.
Can the assistant publish for me?+
The assistant can propose a full model update. You choose Apply or Discard. Apply saves a new Draft version, same as Save. You still publish from the status control. See Use the strategy model assistant.
