Give a period its own subject, profiles and weekly rhythm, so Growf AI plans posts around it and the calendar shows which weeks still need one.

A theme is a period with its own subject, such as a campaign month or a season, for all your profiles or only some of them. You set it in the calendar of every project, which you open with Calendar in the sidebar. You need permission to edit content and use the chat, plus permission to read the calendar for the Calendar link in the sidebar; Admin, Strategist and Creator have these by default.

4 steps · About 3 minutes

1

## Choose Add theme

In the sidebar, click Calendar, then Year. Point at a month and Add theme appears beside its name, after the themes that already run in that month. In 3 months, the + beside Themes does the same for the current month, or for the first month on screen when you look at another period. Click Add theme to start a theme for that month.

2

## Fill in the theme

The New theme form starts with the days of the month you picked. Give the theme a Name, and to change its days, click the dates under Period and pick the first day, then the last. Switch on Every year for a theme that comes back, such as a holiday season. Applies to reads All profiles; click Profile to limit the theme to one or more profiles. Under What should Growf AI know?, write the angle, tone or message, and under Rhythm choose how many posts a week the theme needs. Click Save theme: with Suggest posts ticked, as it is for a new theme, the chat then suggests posts for it right away, which uses AI credits.

## See which weeks still need a post

In Month, a theme runs as a banner above the days with its name, its days and what Growf AI should know. With a rhythm, the banner shows how many of its weeks are covered, for example 0 of 5 weeks covered: a week counts once it holds as many posts made for the theme as the rhythm asks. From this week on, a week that still needs a post shows No post for, followed by the theme name, in the Week column; click it to ask the chat for a post for that week. In 3 months the theme is a bar in the Themes row, and in Year a label beside the month name. Click the banner, the bar or the label to change the theme.

## Manage every theme in Settings

Settings > Calendar > Themes lists every theme with its Period, who it Applies to and its Rhythm. New theme adds one, and the pencil beside a theme opens it to change it. To remove a theme, open it, click the bin and confirm Delete this theme? with Delete. The form here has no Suggest posts; ask the chat in the calendar instead. This page needs permission to edit the workspace; in the calendar itself, anyone who can edit content adds and changes themes.

## FAQ

How is a theme different from a moment?+

A moment is usually one day, such as a holiday, an awareness day or an own moment, that you switch on in Settings > Calendar > Moments. It shows on its day in the calendar. A theme is a period with its own subject, profiles and rhythm. Some standard moments last longer, such as Dry January or Movember: switching one on adds it as a theme that comes back every year, and switching it off removes that theme again. Deleting such a theme switches its moment off. A theme that comes from a moment does not count for the Get started task Set a theme in the calendar, so add one yourself with Add theme or New theme. \*\*Set the key moments in the calendar\*\* explains moments.

What does Growf AI do with a theme?+

When you ask the chat to plan or write posts, it knows the themes in that period. On the calendar of every project, that is the period on screen; inside a project, the project's period, or the coming eight weeks when it has none. The chat follows what you wrote under What should Growf AI know?, keeps to the rhythm and posts as the profiles under Applies to. Only posts the chat makes for the theme count toward its weeks; a post you add yourself on one of its days does not. Every request to the chat uses AI credits.

What happens to the posts when I delete a theme?+

They stay. Deleting a theme only removes it from the calendar: the posts made for it keep their project, their day and their status. Open the theme from its banner, bar or label, or with the pencil in Settings > Calendar > Themes, click the bin and confirm Delete this theme? with Delete. To end a theme sooner instead, change its last day under Period.

Who can add or change themes?+

In the calendar of every project, everyone who can open it can add, change and delete themes. That takes permission to edit content and use the chat, plus permission to read the calendar for the Calendar link in the sidebar; Admin, Strategist and Creator have these by default. Settings > Calendar needs permission to edit the workspace, which Admin has by default. Suggest posts and No post for need permission to write in the chat; without it you can still save a theme. A project's own calendar shows no themes, and clients do not see the calendar at all.
